Riyadh - Mubasher: Jabal Omar Development Company announced that its board of directors approved the appointment of Waleed bin Ali Al Harthi as the company’s new CEO on 10 August 2026.
Al Harthi is scheduled to officially commence his duties on 6 September 2026.
The leadership change follows the resignation of the current CEO, Saleh bin Habdan Al Habdan, which was accepted by the board on 10 August 2026.
He cited private circumstances for his departure, which will take effect on 3 September 2026. Despite stepping down from the executive role, Al Habdan will retain his position as a member of the board of directors.
Al Harthi joins the developer with more than 20 years of executive experience in the hospitality and asset management sectors. He previously served as the CEO of Abraj Al-Sa'ah (King Abdulaziz Endowment for the Two Holy Mosques), where he managed strategic operations in Makkah.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
The board expressed its gratitude to Al Habdan for his contributions to the company’s performance during his tenure.
In the first six months (6M) of 2026, the group’s net profits declined to SAR 275.12 million from SAR 903.88 million a year earlier.
